Project Fumbaro Eastern Japan, Animal Rescue Team – All lives should be rescued and kept alive.
Who We Are
Here’s what one victim said;
“We had a dog. I heard someone yelling ‘There’s a Tsunami coming!’ and I went outside from my house, I could see water coming already. I was busy evacuating my 90 year old mother. I helped her along the street and lucky for us, someone picked us up and drove us to safety and we survived.. Our dog… didn’t.”
We can feel the deep regret in their words. ‘I could not rescue him/her/it.’ These people may regret and accuse themselves for their whole life. It does not mean they found the dead body. Some may have survived, rescued by someone and waiting for their owners to come get them.
Here’s what one person said who is still living in the area very near to the Hazard area of Fukushima Nuclear reactor although everybody else has already evacuated.
“If I leave here and someday come back, by that time the animals here will definitely .be dead. There is no way to bring them back to life by only regretting deeply from my heart. That is why I decided to stay here.”
There are some victims who take care of animals who lost or miss their owners with their own animals and are under severe financial stress.
This earthquake and Tsumami hurt many people and animals.
We know we are not able to rescue all of them.
But we wish many of the animal victims can see their owners again or find new owners with the cooperation of many people.
That is why we started helping people who take care of the animal victims through Project Fumbaro Eastern Japan, Animal Rescue Team.
